Renting
When you first arrive, you might want to rent a property. Quite common in France, where some people never buy the house they live in.
The tenant is very much protected by the law, and this means that most landlords will be very cautious and ask for many garantees and you will have to provide solvent garantoors even if you hold a very stable and well paid job.
That said, once you've found a place to live-in, and the contract is signed, you can settle and consider your rented house as your home-sweet-home...
